We’ve talked in earlier posts about our workshop renovations but we’ve been too busy to post work in progress posts. Our next container is slowly filling up and a lot of work has been done to both the shop and the workshop which has made it hard to find the time to get photos uploaded. Below we’ve collected a few photos of work over the last few months. Some of it took a very long time, the new fire escape stairs from the extended storage area on the mezzanine for instance. New storage solutions on the mezz, reworked machine locations, screens, lighting…it’s kept Phil, Jeff and Jon R. and our other volunteers pretty busy as you can see.

Once our staff are all back from holidays and the final ‘fine tuning’ of the workbenches has been completed, (which requires we have our volunteers back behind the benches for a while), we will try to post a video walkthrough to show the entire extent of the changes. Although the workbenches are ‘covid friendly’ and a lot more spacious and airy,  I think you can see that the overall feel of our workshop hasn’t changed all that much.
