I wanted to quit tailoring but after this seminar I will concentrate on it!

I am Rebecca Masikini a mother of 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. I began this tailoring business since 2000 after a friend of mine taught me how to sew. By then I had only one butter fly machine given to me my father. I have a dream of being both a qualified tailor and machine repairer.

Now about this training, it was wonderful! You know my common challenges were to identify reasons for so many sewing machines problems such as needle breaking, the thread cutting, irregular wheel speed, frequent dropping of bobbin and sometimes the machine was working well with some cloth material while refusing others! But after this training I know the reasons for all of them and also how to fix them. In addition, I didn’t know the importance of oil in a machine and the need for cleaning. But I know that is part of machine service maintenance. In fact this training has made me love tailoring work more than before; because I was thinking of engage in other petty business. But from now on I will concentrate in tailoring and the good quality machines I received from TFSR have even inspired more.

Our teacher was very competent and he knows how to conduct participatory teaching. Personally I wish I could also be trained in shoe making since I also like the trade very much. By the way does your project have sewing machines for shoe making as well? If they do, please arrange one for me.

Finally pass my sincere greetings to all TFSR Cymru people, and since I was a chair of this training, on behalf of my colleagues, I say thank you very much.
