19/20th May - Royal Welsh Spring Festival, Builth Wells – that’s the Smallholders to you and me – in the Green Horizons Hall

3rd June – Africa Market Day at the Parish Hall, Hay Festival, 10 am -5 pm

5th June – Jubilee Fair Trade Fair, Butter Market, Hay Festival, 10 am – 5 pm

8/9/10th June – Rackety Farm – during the Hay Festival

9/10th June – Garden Festival  Helen’s Manor, Much Marcle

2nd – 5th August  –   Green Gathering nr Chepstow

17/18/19th August -  Green Man Festival, nr Crickhowell

8th September Usk Show

15/16th September – Abergavenny Food Festival

All money taken at these events goes to support our work in Tanzania

So far this year we have been at: Carmarthen, Hereford, Monmouth, Machynlleth, Malvern and Abergavenny Seed Swaps

Last year we were at Seed Swaps in Abergavenny and Malvern, Blossom Time in Putley, Seedling Sunday at Machynlleth, Tretower Court, the Smallholders Show in Builth Wells, Africa Market Day at Hay Festival, the Garden Festival at Much Marcle, Glastonbury Festival, the Green Man Festival, Llangynidir and Llangattock Shows, The Big Skill, Abergavenny Food Festival, the World Trade Fair, the Big Apple and Hay at Christmas.

We are still short of embroidery machines for women’s groups in Tanga and Singida regions.  Are there any unwanted/unused machines out there?

A danger to the user and anyone nearby.

A sledge from TFSR Cymru will give many years of safe and happy use.

Tony Care returned from a visit to Tanzania in February where he visited groups in need of tools, and also artisans who had received tool kits from the Mwanza Tools Workshop.

Cheap Chinese hammers are available, but don’t last . . .

It’s in the Healthy Planet bookstore, which is in the old Allied Carpet store in Pensarn, Carmarthen.  The store is currently open Monday to Saturday from 10am, closing times in the afternoon vary.  For up to date opening times visit the Healthy Planet Carmarthen Facebook page.
